Brazilian Butt Lift Cost Guide – and why you should avoid it!

peach-tips , December 9, 2017

At House of Peach, we know that surgical procedures to enhance your bum are a seemingly tempting option – but we believe that you can achieve the same result with some dedication n the gym and some smart additions to the wardrobe for a fraction of the cost! We’ve put together a guide for Brazilian butt lift so you can understand what is involved, the costs and the risks!

So, what is a Brazilian Butt Lift?

A Brazilian Butt Lift is a popular surgical procedure that enhances the size and shape of the butt. The surgeon will use liposuction to sculpt and contour your butt to achieve a perky and well-rounded posterior. It requires taking fat sources from your thighs and your stomach to fill out your butt to achieve volume and a younger looking butt.

How much does a Brazilian Butt Lift cost?

A Brazilian Butt Lift ranges in price from £1,500 – £10,000 and extensively varies in so many aspects depending on your needs, wants and quality of service you desire. You will understandably pay more for the quality of surgeon you use, which is usually dependant on experience. The rate also depends on where you have it done, many celebrities go to other countries to have the procedures this can be to get it done at a lower rate or to be done under a more qualified, respected surgeon or a better after care procedure, either way, travel expense needs to be considered.

More cost factors include the type of sedation and anaesthesia the surgeon uses, after care medication and compression garments maybe an additional cost on top of your surgery but in most cases, are included in a package price.

Just like any other surgery, you can pay all out, however there are many plastic surgery providers that offer financing over 6, 12, 18 and 24 months, but of course this will include interest. In almost every case, you would be better off saving up and paying all up front if you decided to have the procedure as financing can result in paying almost double the amount for the surgery.

So, if you’ve decided to have the surgery, just what does it entail to get the result you want? Well, a lot more than you might think.

Initially, you will need to pick a surgeon, which is an incredibly important decision and something you must consider responsibly. This surgeon needs to understand and envision everything that you want and need from this procedure before you go under the knife. There is no such thing as a generic surgical procedure, your body will not be the same as anyone else’s and your vision for what you would like will be like no others either, so it’s really important to find a surgeon who is fully clear and fully aware of what you’re looking for. Make sure that you meet with your surgeon on several occasions to ask questions, to see visuals of their previous work and to ensure that you are compatible with a mutual, clear understanding about your plans for surgery.

You will have an initial consultation that will require measurements being taken and a full examination of your thighs, hips, stomach and butt will be performed. The initial consultation is a prime opportunity to discuss with your doctors your concerns, your goals and answer any questions you may have.

Before the procedure you MUST…

– Quit smoking, drinking and taking any form of recreational drugs, the time scale varies and will be specified by your surgeon.

– Drink plenty of water and follow a healthy lifestyle.

–Book two to three weeks off work to heal correctly.

  • Do not eat anything 12 hours prior to your surgery as this can cause issues with sedation.

The surgery for a Brazilian Butt Lift will include your surgeon making small incisions in the regions with excess fat and inserting a small tube to extract and dissolve fat deposits.

After the liposuction has been completed the surgeon will purify the fat and only use the best quality of fat in the syringes that will be injected into the butt cheeks. The number and intensity of the injections is completely dependant on the patient’s desired look and the preferred technique of the surgeon.

Once the surgery is over you will inevitably feel groggy but if you choose the right after care you will be well looked after. You will then take two to three weeks to rest, relax and heal. In that time, you will remain in contact with your surgeon to ensure your dressings are okay, to ensure you are healing well and to ensure there is no cause for concern in regard to infection or unsatisfactory results.

Brazilian Butt Lift Risks…

As with any surgery, of course, there is a level of risk involved. This can vary from mild to fatal risks, so it is very important to realise and fully understand the seriousness of those risks involved whilst considering plastic surgery.

Infection – a common problem in low budget surgery, as these infections are usually caused by unsterilized equipment used during surgery. Infection can include fever, green or yellow drainage, or persistent redness.

Reabsorbed fat – This is a risk in Brazilian butt lift surgery that is not harmful to you, but could cause a not so great result which can be very frustrating. The surgeon will give you all the guidance and advice to ensure this does not happen by demonstrating positions to lay in and ensuring you give your butt long enough to heal.

Excessive bleeding – Although a lower risk in Brazilian butt lifts excessive bleeding can be extremely serious and require further surgery and in some cases, a blood transfusion.

Blood clotting – Blood clots are extremely dangerous and cutting incisions into your skin could cause deep vein thrombosis. If clots travel to your lungs, heart or brain can be fatal almost instantly. Your surgeon will go through and assess your risk factors of blood clotting and encourage you to look out for the tell tale symptoms of clotting too which include, irritation and persistent swelling and redness.

Your surgeon will go through every single risk factor with you and assess, examine and determine the severity of certain risk factors that may be a concern for you personally. Understanding the risk factors completely and following your surgeons plan for you strictly, especially in after care, will ensure you minimize the risks.

Are there non-invasive alternatives that match the results of a Brazilian Butt Lift?

In recent years, there are so many non-invasive options available to you before surgery should even become a thought in your mind. Of course, if you have the money, it can be extremely tempting and a lot less work than going to the gym every single day squatting like your life depends on it, but the health benefits of going to the gym are much more positive than the incredibly extensive risks throughout the procedures of surgery.

Here at House of Peach we know the gym is just not realistic for everyone, which is why we are constantly pushing the peachy boundaries to bring you shapewear that can boost what your mama gave you, without surgery or six million squats.
