Pastels: A MUST HAVE trend for 2018!

The pastel trend has been a firm favourite for a while but it’s popularity seems to have spiked yet again just in time for Spring 2018. Pastels have become a cultural obsession with everything from handbags to home furnishings coming in a full range of pastel shades. Pastels have continued into 2018 to be huge on and off the fashion runway too, from high street to designer, pastel shades are known for being easily styled. Here at House Of Peach ® we’ve just launched our brand new pastel gymwear collection so we are talking about why pastel is so on trend right now.

Spring/Summer 2018, judging from fashion week, is widely spreading gelato hue vibes. Pastel mint, yellow and pink have been taking the runway by storm and set to hit the high street this Spring. Popular designers Victoria Beckham, Hermes and Tom Ford peacocked the ice cream trend in their New York Fashion Week shows with lemon sorbet power pencil skirts and cotton candy pink ruched dresses. Head to toe ice cream pastels seem to be the theme, so if you’re unsure how to be on trend this SS18, we recommend piling on the pastels head to toe to get the 2018 look.

BRING SPRING TO YOUR WARDROBE

Pastel shades are often associated with Spring for many reasons. Pastels are generally a great way to reintroduce colour back into your wardrobe after parading the popular neutral shades of Autumn and Winter. They bring back the colour softly without the harshness and brighter pops of colour that usually take over in Summer.

STRESS FREE STYLING

As touched on previously in this post, pastels are a popular choice with fashion designers as they are so easily styled. Bright colours are often used as blocks, whereas pastels can be subtly incorporated into any outfit and with any accessories. Pastel shades are perfect for every element of your lifestyle too, workwear, loungewear and gym wear, there is no limit to the ability of styling with pastels from formal to casual, pastels are a safe, stylish choice.

MIX AND MATCH

The great thing about pastel shades is that you can mix and match without clashing. Whether you’re team a pastel blue dress with a pastel pink handbag when it comes to fashion, or you are adding pastel green cushions to a pastel yellow sofa when it comes to furnishing your home, pastel shades can’t clash. Packing on the pastels of all shades is massively on trend this season so don’t be too shy to mix and match, the more shades the better.

COLOUR CONFIDENCE

Many of us struggle to find our colour confidence and shy away from adding colour into our wardrobes. Pastel shades offer a soft and subtle introduction to implementing colour into your dress code, which can really help to develop your personal style and take you out of the darker side of style. Embracing colour in your closet will boost your confidence, improve your mood and enhance your style – you’ve got nothing to lose.

ORDER YOUR PASTELS TODAY

As you can see, there are so many reasons to love the pastel trend and we can’t see the trend dying any time soon. No matter who you are or what the occasion is, pastel shades provide a fashion safety net that allows you to be on trend whether you are fashion conscious or not. Here at House Of Peach ® we stay on top of trends so that you don’t have to, and with the release of our new pastel collection we’re making sure that you stay stylish whilst working out too!
